About Me
Professor of Psychology. I have taught at HCC since 1986, and am I the chair of the committee for Psyc 2316 : Psychology of Personality, Normal and Abnormal. I am also on the Psyc 2301 committee and the Grade Appeal committee. I am former sponsor of the psychology honor society: Psi Beta.
I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I graduated from Manhattanville College in New York and then completed my M.S. in the Education of the Disadvantaged at the University of Wisconsin. At age 28 I discovered and feel in love with Psychology and received my M.S. in Counseling at Texas A&I at Corpus Christi in 1975. In 1986 we moved to Houston and I started my PhD at University of Houston in Educational Psychology the same year I started teaching at HCCS full-time. I completed 86 credits.
My special interest is helping students learn how to succeed in college while taking Psyc 2301. I offer tutoring 2-3 times a week and have helped many students improve their grades.
